so.. i'm finished with my right sleeve and am about to start working on the left arm.. but here is the main concern.. my right arm all follows the same style for the most part.. every piece is mainly black and grey with small additions of colour.. the only colours being red and yellow.. with the exception of a small bit of green on some roses and my virgin mary has green eyes.. but other than that.. my entire arm pretty much flows..

so here is the thing.. future pieces include a tom and jerry.. which would have blue, browne, and prolly some other colours.. i'd also like a samurai which would also have tons of colour..and perhaps a mermaid which i would probably invision being black and grey.. so with those 3 tattoos planned.. i'd really have a clashing of colours and themes.. would i be fucking things up by throwing a samurai into a mainly rockabilly theme so far? what are your guys views on this?"

I guess my first question would be....you are getting the tattoos to please exactly who?

make it work. as long as you arent putting tom 'n jerry right next to a samurai or fineline- mermaid, you'll be fine. get a good tattooer to make it all flow. my best friend has full sleeves, one all b&g, one color. it works i promise. get what u want.

yeah.. i figured it would somehow work out.. i just feel like all my tattoos so far have a real specific style to them... how do i post photos on this board? is my only option the gallery?

yes. i think symmetry is important too.

that's another concern a lot of people have.. it's as if you have to get matching tattoos on each arm.. you see that all the time in tattoo shops.. people come in and get something of the same size on the other side of their body to "balance themselves out"

yeah thats kinda why i forced myself to get only one sleeve. other arm completely blank. had to permanantly un-balance myself hahaha! figured everything in my life was too symmetrical.

yeah.. my entire left arm is blank.. but i'm sure it'll get done eventually.. right now i kinda like the one sleeve look.. and there are a few tattoos i have planned for my back and ribs.. so i'll do those first.. i figure that way.. i'll be working from right to left.
