Anthony Padilla Adds to His Abstract Line Work Collage

The popular YouTuber sports some of the most painful-looking tattoos in the game, but his collection is far from finished

Vibrant internet personality Anthony Padilla just added two new tattoos to his unique collection. The first one is a seamless addition to his previously existing array of abstract line work, while the other is a block of old-fashioned text that looks like it was taken straight from a typewriter.

The prolific YouTuber has been showing off his large-scale tattoos since last July, when he debuted his initial piece comprising a patchwork of bold, jagged lines that span across his chest and collarbones all the way down to his arms and fingertips. Since then, Padilla has incrementally added to the overall piece, slowly but surely becoming a full-blown canvas for this captivating style.

The meticulous block of text was done by @hanzloch_tattoo, a powerhouse in creating vivid works of microrealism. The linework was completed by @duhovka.ink, who is known for their large-scale, sprawling handpoke tattoos that take on a life of their own on the human body.

In Padilla’s latest photo, he builds upon his previous line work, leading us to believe that by this time next year, his entire body will be covered in black-ink scratches. Over the past year, commenters on Reddit have poked fun at the content creator’s tattoos, one saying it looks like Padilla “fell asleep first at the sleepover,” and another adding that this style should be referred to as “your one and only tattoo” since it likely won’t mix well with anything else. Though these comments hold some truth, there’s no denying there is a striking sense of harmony amongst Padilla’s array of ink. Many also hypothesize that these rugged tattoos are a test of pain, making the ink we see a tangible representation of toughing through the excruciating process.

Over the past few years, Padilla has interviewed a sea of guests on his channel, diving deep into lines of questioning aiming to reveal universal truths about humankind. After such eye-opening conversations, it’s no wonder Padilla made some daring moves of his own, taking to tattoos to express what cannot be said through words.
