It’s summer and it’s hot as heck. You know what that means? We all want to cool off with a frozen treat. One of our favorite frozen treats are popsicles, also known as ice pops or icy lollys depending on where you live. Popsicles come in many flavors, shapes, sizes and colors—especially if you get them from an ice-cream truck.

No matter where in the country you live, you can relate to the pure elation of hearing an ice-cream truck’s jingle and rushing to grab a tasty frozen treat. There are plenty of classics to choose from, with some of our favorites being rocket pops, chips galore and strawberry sundae crunch. We also cannot forget the popsicles inspired by some of our favorite cartoon characters—namely Sonic the Hedgehog, Bubbles of the Powerpuff Girls and SpongeBob SquarePants. And it was especially great when these popsicles came out of the bag extra wonky— sporting missing eyes or buck teeth.
