Pinup art probably wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the work done by Alberto Vargas. Vargas was born in Peru and studied art in Europe prior to World War I. Vargas eventually emigrated to the United States and became famous for his “Vargas Girls” that appeared in Esquire during the 1940’s. Enjoy this gallery featuring some of our favorite paintings by the legendary artist.
