Drew Barrymore Talks Savannah Guthrie Into Getting a Live Tattoo On-Air—The Meaning Will Melt Your Heart
Reunited under the needle with celebrity artist JonBoy, Savannah Guthrie and Drew Barrymore get inked together live on The Drew Barrymore Show.
When Drew Barrymore sets her mind on something, it’s bound to happen—just ask Today Show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. After years of talking about getting a tattoo together, the two went for their second tattoo live on The Drew Barrymore Show, with celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy behind the needle.

Guthrie had previously said, “I’m not a tattoo person, but we talked about it for years, and Drew is very persuasive.” She chose a deeply personal design: hand-drawn hearts by her children, Vale and Charley, a sweet tribute to motherhood. Savannah’s daughter even joked that every time her mom sees Drew, she ends up with a new tattoo—turns out, she wasn’t wrong.

One thing’s for sure: when Drew Barrymore is in your corner, you might just walk away with a little more ink than you planned—if at all.
