Would you get a face tattoo?

15 to 20 years ago, seeing a face tattoo in the wild was a pretty rare and shocking ordeal. Now, it’s basically a daily occurrence for those of us in major metropolitan areas. And we certainly have celebrities to thank for that.

Back in the mid-2000s, there were a few rappers who had noticeable face tattoos—including The Game, Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. Now, getting a face tattoo almost feels like a prerequisite to making it big in hip-hop. In the last few years, numerous hip-hop artists have been covered from forehead to chin in ink—from Post Malone to XXXTentacion to Lil Peep to Lil Pump. Even pop stars such as Justin Bieber have gotten their faces tattooed.

It’s a major tattoo trend that shows no sign of slowing down and it’s certainly spread to non-musical folk. Face tattoos are becoming more and more prevalent in shops worldwide, which leaves us with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we love to see tattoo acceptance. On the other hand, we want collectors to make smart and informed decisions when tattooing their faces.
