Posty Fest Gallery (PLUS VIDEO)
It’s easy to understand why everyone wants a piece of Post Malone. Posty Fest solidified this further.
Three years ago, when Post Malone released “White Iverson,” the 23-year-old didn’t expect to soon headline his own tour, let alone have Mixer build a tricked-out gaming golf cart for him.
This marks the first year of Posty Fest, held in Dallas at the Dos Equis Pavilion. The line-up included: Travis Scott, Tyler The Creator, Lil Skies, Ski Mask The Slump God, Tierra Whack, Saint JHN, and Tyla Yaweh.
The Posty Fest attractions included a military tank from Post Malone’s “Psycho” music video, A huge orange skull, and Posty Fest inflatables.
Posty Fest sold out, leaving the Dos Equis Pavilion crammed. While Travis Scott teased songs his own upcoming Astroworld tour, and performed for 30 minutes, Tyler, The Creator had performed tracks from his newest album, Flower Boy, despite being in a car accident a few days prior.
For Post Malone’s set, a curtain revealed him high above the crowd, and the whole pavilion awed as he played the opening notes to “Too Young.” He greeted the crowd with a casual: “Hi, I’m Austin Richard Post. Thank you for being here.”
Post Malone closed the night with “Rockstar” and then “Congratulations,” as if he were closing the chapter from “making it” to finally have “made it.”
Posty Fest, from the aesthetic to the performances, showcased Post Malone’s love for everyone– and everyone’s love for him. It also highlighted the friends he’s made along the way.
Post Malone has made it clear that this isn’t the end of his success story, and that there will only be more to congratulate him on.
