No matter what religion you follow or don’t follow, most people are familiar with the image of a crucifixion based on the Catholic Church’s depiction of Jesus Christ’s “passion”. However, most do not know the mechanics of how this cruel form of execution actually killed a person.
Crucifying a person was a brought to the world via the early Persians and brought over to the west when the Romans adopted it (and elevated its cruelty factor) to execute the worst of the worst.
