What would the world be like without Harry Styles? Styles began his musical career over 10 years ago, when he competed as a contestant on “The X Factor.” Styles was eliminated from the competition early on, however, he was brought back to compete as a group with Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik. Their group was named One Direction and they’d go on to become one of the most successful products of the show, as well as one of the most successful boy groups of all time.

The band One Direction was formed in 2010, releasing five albums and a plethora of singles during their six years as a group. Their debut single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” was the band’s most successful song and went 4X RIAA platinum. Together, the band won a number of awards and have sold 70 million records worldwide.

However, like all great boy bands, the group eventually split in 2016, with the members going on to have successful solo careers. One of the biggest shining stars of One Direction is Styles, who gracefully made the transition from group to solo artist. He’s released two studio albums since his solo debut: 2017’s “Harry Styles” and 2019’s “Fine Line.” The former included the triple platinum single “Sign of the Times” and the latter featured number one single “Watermelon Sugar.”
