Pop legend Prince has died at the age of 57. According to TMZ, Prince passed in the early morning of April 21 while at his Paisley Park home and studio in Minnesota. After performing in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, April 15, the Purple Rain singer had a medical emergency while flying home on his private jet, forcing his crew to make an immediate landing in Moline, Illinois. He was released from the hospital three hours later and on April 16, attended another concert.

It is reported that Prince, full name Prince Rogers Nelson, had been battling a bad case of the flu for several weeks, but at the April 16 concert he told fans, “Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.” We’re praying for you now, Prince. You will be missed.
