Drugs, Money and Busty Bikini-Clad Cops in Miami Police Video

Police officers have had more than their fair share of bad press lately. And now, president of the Miami Fraternal Order of Police Lt. Javier Ortiz has his own odd headline to deal with. He recently found a video online that features members of the local law enforcement community in what appears to be a trailer for a reality show pitch from 2013.

The trailer for “Miami Blue: The Real Miami Vice,” was filmed in 2013 with approval from the then police chief Manuel Orosa. Chief Orosa does appear in the video, but with a text overlay that says his title is “The Boss.” Lt. Ortiz remembers cameras following him around during the Ultra Music Festival that year, but was told by Chief Orosa that the footage was for a recruitment video.

The video starts off with a disclaimer: “All individuals featured in the following presentation are law enforcement professionals. At risk for us.”

Cut to: Bikini-clad female police officer sunbathing on the beach. You can tell she’s a police office because her badge is hanging from the string on her bikini.

(Director’s Note: Include shots of girls in bikini’s whenever possible, don’t forget sports cars, speed boats and three busty female officers leaning against a police car saying “Welcome to Miami.”)

“That’s not the image of the Miami Police Department I want to portray,” Llanes says in an interview with the Miami Herald.

One officer in the trailer says, “A lot of agencies, especially in other states, will never see, in their career, what we see.”

Cut to: Marcos Perez smoking a fat cigar with a text overlay explaining that he is with Homeland Security.

The tagline flashes at the end:

“A city that thrives on heat.”

“A chief who dares to make a difference.”

“No script. So second chances. No limits.”

Hard to believe it didn’t get picked up.
