Today’s skull of the day is this remarkable piece by Nikko Hurtado. Hurtado is best known for his impeccable color portraiture, which has made him a highly respected icon in the industry. Every now and then, however, Hurtado branches out to other subject matters and styles, such as black and grey or this photorealistic skull. Every detail of this piece from the crown of thorns to the grapes looks as if it’s part of a photograph or oil painting rather than ink on skin. This amazing ability to ink beautifully realistic tattoos that will last for years to come is why we love Hurtado’s work.
