Ladies, Ladies! Art Show 2014
There's no denying that tattooing has been a male-dominated art form but that's not to say that there aren't hundreds of talented female artists out there.
There’s no denying that tattooing has been a male-dominated art form but that’s not to say that there aren’t hundreds of talented female artists out there. In order to celebrate the abundance of talented women in the industry the “Ladies, Ladies! Art Show” is being held at Dave Wallin’s Eight of Swords Tattoos and Gallery for a third straight year. The art show will feature the pieces of art from over 60 different artists. While many of the artists featured in the show are well-known names within tattooing others are relative newcomers.
The show is curated by two female tattooers—Elvia Iannaccone-Gezlev, an artist at Masterpiece Tattoo, and Magie Serpica, an owner of Milk & Honey Tattoo—who understand the importance of showcasing the art of successful women within the industry.
Included in this year’s international line-up are: Rose Hardy, Ashley Love, Kit King, Drew Linden, Karen Glass, Alix Ge, Anna Melo, Mina Aoki, Marie Sena, Alexandra Skarsgård, Debra Yarian, Lara Scotton, Bruna Yonashiro, Gillian Goldstein, Lola Garcia, Viola von Hell, Zoe Bean, Dana Melissa Dixon, and many more.
The show opened on May 15th and will be running through July 6th. The gallery below contains some of the art that can be found in the show as well as photographs from the opening.

Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
