Megan Thee Stallion Reacts To Fan’s Tattoo of Her

Superfan Kristi was first faced with hate for her portrait of Nicki Minaj.

Megan Thee Stallion superfan Kristi went to North Carolina tattoo artist Jon Dump for ink dedicated to the Texas-born rapper. VMA “Best Power Anthem” winner, who was the first female rapper signed to 300 Entertainment, has had some tattoos paying homage to her before, but the tattoo on Kristi is getting a lot of attention because it’s a full on portrait. Plus, Kristi had already gotten previous notice in the public sphere, facing hate for her portrait tattoo of Nicki Minaj.

The negative attention around the Nicki Minaj piece circled around race, suggesting Kristi was appropriating black culture.

To this, Kristi wrote, “Okay this one pissed me off. Why the hell does it matter what the person’s skin color is? I happen to be a white woman who has women who I admire and respect on my arms. They just happen to be black women. What’s so wrong with that? It’s art and all out of love and respect.”

Luckily, Megan Thee Stallion felt honored by the portrait, and didn’t feel the same way about the tattoo for her. She noticed Kristi’s ink after the tattoo artist posted it to his Instagram, captioning the photo: “Hey @theestallion.. you got some serious fans out here! Did this today on a serious fan.” Megan wrote back (and posted to her own page), “WOW REAL HOT GIRL SH*T !!! I gotta find this hottie and do something special for you.”
