We love Halloween and we love cake art, if only there was some way to bring our two great passions together. Oh wait, there is! May we present Sugar Spooks, a collaborative group of cake makers from around the world that have turned their focus toward creating some of the most impressively macabre sweets you ever imagined. Sugar Spooks was created, organized and lead by Avalon Yarnes of Avalon Cakes. It was born from a simple desire to create a over the top Halloween cake, and have a good reason for it. Sugar Spooks was created in 2013 and has become an annual tradition. You can see creations from years past at the Sugar Spooks website.
Ashley Holt of Sugar Monster Sweets was kind enough to give us an early look at all of the creepy confections. This is merely part one, get ready to see more next week when we release part two. But for now go ahead and marvel at the eerie desserts in the gallery below!
