Some people choose to wear their hearts on their sleeves, while others choose to get them tattooed by Steve Soto. Steve Soto is a tattoo artist and owner of California’s Goodfellas Tattoo Art & Design. He specializes in black and grey realism and is one of the best in the business.
Take a look at this incredible sacred heart hand tattoo by Soto. We love the dark greys that went into defining the shape of the heart and the thorns as they contrast so well with the soft lighter greys in the flames. A sacred heart typically features thorns, a cross, and a flame, as this one does, but Soto was able to add so much more to the piece, including the fun little line work bits that extend onto the wearers hands.
Since this piece is also on a hand, the amount of detail that was packed into this piece is incredible for its size, a trait many of Soto’s tattoos tend to have. Just looking at the bold outlines and smooth shade transitions, one can easily tell that this tattoo will be able to up hold through the test of time, as well as the wear and tear of every day life. Hand tattoos tend to fade faster than tattoos in other placements, but this one looks ready go through it all.
