Tattoo Artists Recreate Our Cover Shoot With Ryan Ashley and Arlo DiCristina
Our Cover With Ryan Ashley and Arlo DiCristina Went Viral in the Tattoo World
For our latest issue of INKED Magazine (on stands now), we featured Ryan Ashley and Arlo DiCristina on the cover. This was Ashley’s second cover and DiCristina’s first—and it made major waves in the tattoo industry. And we couldn’t have predicted how artists from around the world would respond to our cover with these talented tattooers.
Teej Poole and Brent Frodge were the first to recreate our cover, putting their unique spin on the couple’s seductive pose.
Then, at Mexico’s Mayan Mayhem, artists Durb Morrison and Mark Longnecker gave the piggy-back pose their best shot.
As big fans of the industry’s top meme page, @monday_malarkey, we were thrilled to see this chilling rendition featuring Randy Randerson and John Hastie.
Then there’s @edainanir.tattooartist and @coskun_sakre_tattooartist, who put their heads on our cover star’s bodies and literally made us do a double take. This one is the freakiest by far.
Did we make a mistake by not casting Roman and Poch for our cover? Quite possibly.
Then there’s Desiree and Tony Mancia, who included shoutouts to not only Ryan Ashley and Arlo, but TeeJ and Brent as well. We think that Tony definitely went for the win when it comes to facial expressions in this shot.
Lastly take a look at this recreation by Chris and Esther at Unicorn Tattoo Parlour. We’re all about that background guys.
What do you think about the hilarious and sexy recreations of our cover featuring Ryan Ashley and Arlo DiCristina? Which recreation was your favorite of the bunch? Let us know your thoughts, opinions and questions in the comments section on Facebook.
