Over the past few decades, the tattoo industry has seen a rapid increase in the number of tattoo styles and designs that a person can choose from. Ten years ago, most people would never have heard of a “watercolor” tattoo yet today it is one of the more popular styles. And because a lot of these styles of tattooing are fresh and new, we haven’t really gotten the chance to see how these tattoos will age as time goes on. Will these styles and designs still be cool 15 years from now? Will new styles have replaced the “trendy” styles of today? Will anyone remember that ironic pop culture reference that you just had to have on your body forever? Who knows?! But what we do know is that there are iconic images and styles that have proven an ability to stay cool for years and don’t show any signs of slowing down. Here are some tattoo designs which have stood the test of time and will most likely still be classic 50 years from now.
