Alysha Nett checks in with us as often as her busy schedule will allow to give her insight on modeling, tattoos and art. She even throws in a recipe from time to time. Alysha always makes sure to include plenty of sexy pictures of her exploits, so check back often to see what she’s been up to.
I’ve decided to introduce a new segment to my Beyond the Ink posts, Travel Diaries. So far this year, I have confirmed trips to Philadelphia, NYC, London, Paris, and more!
Last weekend, my friend Danielle and I took a took a short trip to Catalina Island. Neither of us had been there even though its only 22 miles off the coast of Long Beach! We took the hour long ferry to Avalon, the main town on the island. We stayed at the Aurora hotel & spa and I highly recommend this hotel. We were able to book a winter getaway package that included two nights at the hotel, continental breakfast, transportation to and from the port (its a short walk but not fun with luggage), and our ferry tickets were also included (a $70 value).
The hotel had an amazing roof top lounge that we frequented for smoke breaks and glasses of wine. The view was spectacular so naturally we had to take a few photos.
The town is very much a golf cart community which was completely fascinating to me! We rented a golf cart of our own and mobbed around the island like a couple of locals. We had surf & turf at the local Lobster Trap, apple pie at Steve’s, peanut butter ice cream cones from Lloyd’s, and $1 tacos at the Sand Trap.
I can’t wait to visit again in the summer and take advantage of the jet ski rentals I saw. It was the perfect place to go to experience beauty in the same league as Hawaii, but prices that weren’t too upsetting to my wallet.
Check out more of the photos from the trip!
xoxo

Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
