Lena Dunham has a lot going on lately. The actress just launched a newsletter called Lenny alongside Jenni Konner, the fifth season of HBO’s Girls premieres in January 2016, and she made her cartoon debut on The Simpsons. Let us break it down for you:
What is Lenny?
Lena Dunham, the active feminist that she so proudly is, has created a news platform in part with Jenni Konner, an executive producer on Girls, that touches on all things “feminism, style, health, politics, friendship and everything else.” Subscribers to Lenny receive a weekly newsletter via email. Letter #1 was just released on Tuesday, September 29, and it included an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. In the interview, they discussed Clinton’s college years, rejecting President Bill Clinton’s marriage proposal–twice, and her solution for student debt. As promised, the letter also focused on fashion, that time-of-the-month, and love.
Should you watch Girls?
Are you in your 20s? Do you want to revisit or reflect on your 20s? Do you have HBO? Do you want to see Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Marnet with their clothes off? Do you think girl talk is the best talk? If you answered yes to any of the five provided questions–get your laptop and get watching.
Candace, Homer Simpson’s dream lover, hastattoos? And she gets high?
Yes. Dunham’s new character on The Simpsons, Candace, a pharmacist, meddles her way into Homer’s love life and adorns her yellow skin in ink. Dunham brought her Brooklyn Girls (literally) to Springfield, too. Joining her on The Simpsons was Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Marnet. In the 27th season’s debut episode, “Every Man’s Dream,” twenty-something Candace and Homer tripped out to Spacemen 3 and mixed prescription pills with booze (watch the Instagram clip below). The episode’s title is rather fitting for the situation seeing as Candace is complete with a sweet rack, tattoos, and a pretty posse. Any middle-aged donut loving man would be lying if he said he wasn’t attracted.

Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
