Zoe Kravitz and her band LOLAWOLF teamed up with the provocative Miley Cyrus on their new track “Bitch” and the six-minute music video is making waves. The track comes off of their debut LP Calm Down. But forget the song (which is super laid back) we need to talk about this video, starting with Miley and Zoe stripped down into almost nothing, sexing up a partied hotel room.
The video came just before the two were photographed hand-in-hand at the Met Gala Monday night; Miley captioned a pic, “@zoeisabellakravitz is my date to Met tonight.”
The shaky camera, the flashing lights, the distorted imaging—it all works. Total VHS, ‘60s, “dirty hippie,” to put it in Miley terms, vibe. Zoe snaps shots of Miley’s decorated booty and they play cowboy with toy guns. And where there’s a Miley there’s a joint, so you’ll see plenty of pot.
Six minutes may sound like a lengthy time to spend watching two girls bounce around in a music video, but this just doesn’t get old. Plus, when the music aspect of the video ends, they give us almost two minutes peeking behind the scenes. Gentlemen, consider this an exclusive look at girls’ slumber parties—celebrity style. And we’re pretty sure Miley makes a romance confession; listen closely near the four-minute mark.
The only thing that could make this video more enticing is if they created a makeshift tattoo studio and got inked while filming, which would be nothing out of the norm for the spontaneously tattooed Cyrus. And yes, those are Hannah Montana cards they’re seen playing with. Can’t wait to see more of you and your music, ladies.
Watch the new besties rock out to the “badass bitch” anthem below.
