If You’re a Tattooed Cat Lover, This One’s for You
Spotlighting one of our favorite must-have finds for National Pet Month.
Anyone who owns cats already knows the deal. No matter how clean your place is, there’s always that one area with the litter box kind of ruining the whole room.
And honestly, it’s not even just how it looks. It’s the smell. The scooping. The whole routine. You spend years putting together a space that actually feels like you, your style, your art, your tattoos, your personality, and then there’s this ugly plastic litter box sitting in the corner throwing off the entire room.
For National Pet Month, we wanted to highlight one of the few pet products we’ve seen lately that actually feels thought-through for people who care about their space (and their cats). Or honestly, just people who are tired of looking at ugly pet stuff all day.
That’s where Whisker’s Litter-Robot 5 comes in.

First off, it barely even looks like a litter box. It kind of looks like some futuristic smart home gadget sitting in the corner. Which is probably part of why people online seem obsessed with it lately.
And yeah, we know. A “smart litter box” sounds ridiculous.
At least until you realize it cleans itself automatically after every use.
Then suddenly it sounds a lot less ridiculous.

The odor control alone is probably enough to convince most cat owners. Especially in apartments or smaller homes where litter box smells somehow travel everywhere no matter how much you clean.
It also cuts down a lot on the day-to-day maintenance. The waste drawer holds more than a normal setup, so some people can go days without emptying it. Which feels slightly unreal once you get used to not scooping all the time.
There’s also an app because apparently every object on earth has an app now.

But honestly, this one’s actually useful. It tracks litter box visits, monitors your cat’s weight, and sends updates to your phone. Which sounds a little over-the-top until you remember most cat owners are already paying attention to this stuff anyway.
The Pro version gets even more advanced with extra tracking features and more targeted odor control. In homes with multiple cats, it can even help identify which cat used the litter box and when. A little extra? Maybe. But also pretty helpful.
One thing we did genuinely like is that it feels built for actual cats. Big cats, tiny cats, older cats, chaotic cats, stubborn cats that randomly decide they hate everything for absolutely no reason. There are also ramps and add-ons that make it easier for senior cats or cats with mobility issues to use comfortably.

Another thing worth mentioning is that Whisker is the only automatic litter box company that designs and assembles its products in the USA. The company was created by actual cat parents and has a team of more than 70 engineers focused on developing new products and continuously improving existing ones, which honestly explains why the system feels more thought-through than most pet tech products out there.
And maybe that’s why products like this are getting so popular. People just want pet products that fit into their lives a little better. Things that don’t completely take over the look, smell, and feel of the space they’ve worked hard to put together.
Most people with tattoos care a lot about personal style. The art on the walls. The music playing in the background. The furniture. The apartment itself. All of it becomes part of the same world.

And for tattooed cat lovers, it finally feels like somebody made a litter box that doesn’t completely ruin the room.
Honestly, if your cat already runs the house anyway, they might as well do it in style.
