Here at Inked we feel that it is our duty to pop in every so often to remind you about the dangers of getting a name tattoo, especially for those of you looking to make a romantic gesture this Valentine’s Day. While some people believe that getting a name tattoo is the ultimate sign of romance, many more of us know that name tattoos are the most likely to end up causing you regret. We’ve always assumed that every name tattoo carried the same amount of risk for the bold individual wearing it, but a tattoo removal clinic has kept track of every name they have removed and it turns out that some names just keep coming up over and over again.
Perhaps there are a few serial heartbreakers roaming around juking the stats, or possibly these names have a bit of a curse to them when it comes to affairs of the heart. Or, more than likely, they are indicative of the popularity of each name. But what’s the fun in jumping to that conclusion?
ProSkin Clinics of the United Kingdom performed over 6,000 tattoo removals last year and they were able to come up with a top ten most removed male and female names that they shared with Metro. So, without further adieu, here are the names that you might want to think especially hard about before going under the needle.
The women you may want to avoid:
- Kelly
- Shannon
- Jessica
- Lauren
- Sarah
- Lisa
- Katie
- Tina
- Megan
- Amy
And the men who you must be wary of:
- Lee
- Darrell
- Phil
- Steve
- Gary
- Richard
- John
- Paul
- Joe
- Nathan
