Pretty as a Butterfly

Today’s Inked Girl of the Day, the lovely Rachel Nolan, describes herself as a social butterfly. And just like the beautiful butterflies that her behavior mocks Rachel also is covered with vibrant colors thanks to her many tattoos.

As she poses in nothing but her lingerie, Rachel’s pale skin serves as perfect canvas for the art that covers it. The colors of the flowers on her chest literally pop off the skin. While the colors may be bright and sunny, their is a darker meaning behind most of the tattoos.

When picking her ink Rachel is very cognizant about getting pieces that play off of each other. When she got a piece to symbolize life she paired it with one connected with death. Beauty is paired with decay, and so on. This dichotomy can be seen best in the massive tattoo on her arm. The tattoo features two skeletons locked in an embrace—the piece symbolizes a love so strong that it still has pull beyond the grave.

Even given the dark meaning of some of her ink death and decay are the last things on our minds as we look through Rachel’s sultry photo set. Instead we see nothing but beauty when we gaze at Rachel.
