Jerich Alcantara, a nursing student at Hunter College left his home early so not to miss his graduation, but the subway train was stuck for over two hours in the tunnel and it eventually became apparent that he was going to miss the ceremonies. Since Jerich was proudly dressed in his cap and gown, the sympathetic passengers could feel the distress this poor young man was going through.
However, that didn’t stop him from celebrating his achievement with his newfound friends on the subway car! Luckily all the action was captured by Nadiya Afzal!
