Amber Rose hosted the first-ever, highly anticipated SlutWalk in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 3, which proved to be arguably one of the largest feminist movements to date–and a cause most anyone can support and appreciate.

Rose delivered an emotional speech in which she forgave Kanye West and ex-husband Wiz Khalifa for slut-shaming her in the past. Rose said after she and Kanye broke up in 2010 he claimed she was, “Nothing but a stripper from Philly.” She also mentioned his comment in which he said he needed to take “30 showers” after sleeping with her. Rose’s mother, Dorothy, took that one to heart and proudly held a sign high in the air that read, “FUCK YO 30 showers!”

Rose also discussed her relationship with Khalifa. She said, “Anyone who has ever been divorced knows that it is a very difficult time.” During the split, Khalifa wrote a song saying, “He fell in love with a stripper, but fell out of love quicker.” The activist got extremely emotional, “As you can imagine, him being the love of my life going through a separation or not, that was extremely hurtful.”

Still, Rose not only publicly forgave those two men, but also others that have slut-shamed her in the past. She encouraged the tens of thousands of participants to do the same, “They are ignorant at times. You have to be the bigger person and be the positive person to forgive and move on and help other people around you do the same.” Regardless of whether or not it still hurts, she said, “You have to let that negative shit go.”

Khalifa and Rose have an adorable two-year-old son, Sebastian, together. The parents shared a selfie on Rose’s Instagram with the caption, “Still Ballin.” Could they be rekindling their romance?

Rose took the stage dressed in black lingerie and thigh high stockings, looking gorgeous, as always. The SlutWalk, in honor of women who have “been through shit,” has raised nearly $56k of the $65k fundraising goal on GoFundMe. A number of celebrities have contributed to the cause including Nick Cannon, Tess Holliday, Perez Hilton, and Connor Barwin. The money donated to the Amber Rose Foundation helped to provide SlutWalk LA with HIV testing and sexual awareness booths and will also be used towards future SlutWalk events in more cities around the country.

Inked’s former cover girl Bonnie Rotten was also in attendance and shared a photo of she and Rose via Instagram (slide 12). Check out more SlutWalk attendees with their powerful picket signs, body art, and more in the gallery.
