Green Ink: An Evening of Irish Poetry, Drink, and Tattoos
Celebrate the Irish holiday with a poem, a pint and some ink.
If standing shoulder to shoulder in a packed bar drinking warm beer infused with disgusting green food coloring isn’t exactly the way to you want to spend your St. Patrick’s Day the people at Bowery Arts & Science have come up with an amazing alternative. Celebrate the Irish holiday with a poem, a pint and some ink. Tom Healy will be reading some poetry while artist Duke Riley tattoos him. Perhaps some of the braver members of the audience will also receive a permanent reminder of the good time they had. Healy and Riley collaborated on the book Animal Spirits and will be spending the evening celebrating Irish poetry and drink. The event is free and begins at 6:30.
