Artist Finds Beauty in Stretch Marks and Menstruation!

Periods and Other Body “Flaws”!

Cinta Tort Cartró is a 21-year-old Barcelona-based artist who goes by the nom de plume of Zineta. Most recently she has focused her attention to the female body and all its “society deemed flaws”. She has decided to embrace these “flaws” and create beauty from them — including stretch marks, scars and all things having to do with menstruation.
She achieves her look with brightly colored paint (rainbow colors) and glitter. Instead of trying to hide stretch marks and menstrual blood and secretions in undergarments and sanitary products, Zineta highlights them with paint and glitter
She hopes that through her art the message of fostering self-love within girls who are struggling with all types of body image issues is heard loud and clear (colorful)!
