The first time Wiz Khalifa and Converse collaborated to create a line of shoes in the fall of 2013 the results were a resounding success. Ever since then sneaker heads have been eagerly awaiting the time when the iconic sneaker company and the hip-hop superstar got back together. Well, the time for waiting is over as Converse releases the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ILL on August 22.
Khalifa has had an affinity for Chuck Taylors ever since attending Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh, so when it came to design his own line of Chucks you know he knew what he was talking about. The new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ILLs perfectly blend the classic design of the Chuck Taylor with Khalifa’s unique personal style.

The new kicks, which come in two colors, feature a Wiz Khalifa branded logo tab and eyelet and an oversized Chuck Taylor logo on the medial side.
“I am very excited about continuing my relationship with Converse and releasing this new sneaker collection,” says Khalifa. “We spent a lot of time designing each part of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ILL and the end result is exactly what I wanted.”
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ILL can be purchased for $70 at Foot Locker, Footaction and Eastbay.
