Chipotle Celebrates Friday the 13th with Free Tattoos and BOGO Burritos

Chipotle is leaning into the ink culture just in time for Friday the 13th, a day widely celebrated in the tattoo community, with a bold, fan-first move that’s as spicy as their salsa. On Friday, June 13, Chipotle will debut a collection of 13 limited-edition temporary flash tattoos, inspired by the now-iconic phrase “tatted like a Chipotle bag.”

From 3 to 4 pm local time, fans can score a BOGO entrée by simply showing off any tattoo — permanent, temporary, or even hand-drawn — at any U.S. Chipotle restaurant.

For the ultimate Chipotle loyalists, 13 select locations across the country, including New York, Miami, LA, and Scottsdale, will hand out the new tattoo flash sheets with in-store orders during that same hour, while supplies last.

The temporary tattoo art features nods to the brand’s most recognizable elements: real ingredients, the cult-favorite black fork, and the viral “Chipotle is my life” slogan. The campaign is a playful tribute to a viral moment when a performer’s tattoos were compared to the quirky sketches on Chipotle’s takeout bags.

“On the biggest day of the year for tattoos, we are honoring our bold superfans who have artwork reminiscent of the designs on Chipotle’s takeout bags,” said Stephanie Perdue, Chipotle’s VP of Brand Marketing. “Fans who aren’t ready to embark on their permanent tattoo journey can try out our 13 new temporary designs and enjoy a BOGO entrée.”
