45 Badass ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Tattoos
Who's your favorite character on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer?'
In 1997, one of the greatest supernatural dramas of all time aired on television—”Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” The series was created by Joss Whedon, who’d go on to create “Angel,” “Firefly” and “Agents of the S.H.I.E.L.D,” and was inspired by the 1992 film of the same name. The show follows protagonist Buffy Summers (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, who’d go in star in “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “Cruel Intentions” and “Scooby-Doo”) a teenager girl who’s a vampire slayer or chosen one. Throughout the series, Buffy combats vampires, demons and other forces of darkness with the help of her mentor Giles and high school friends Willow and Xander. She interacts with many vampires throughout the show, including her love interest for the first three seasons Angel and her ally turned love interest Spike.
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” ran for seven seasons and concluded in 2003. The show spawned a television spin-off, “Angel,” which ran from 1999 to 2004. There have also been numerous comic books, video games, novels and talks of a future reboot.
