25 Grumpy Cat Tattoos, For The Internet Celebrity Sensation Who Passed Away at 7-Years Old

Tardar Sauce, commonly known as the meme sensation Grumpy Cat, has been permanently memorialized in sourpuss ink.

Grumpy Cat, the internet celebrity sensation, had a “permanent scowl” from her underbite and feline dwarfism. The grumpiness, in such an adorable package, is why many have memorialized Grumpy Cat in meme form, including: “I had fun once. It was awful.” Grumpy Cat was even named the Meme of the Year at the 2013 Webby Awards, beating out “Gangnam Style” and “Harlem Shake.”

Tardar Sauce died after complications from a urinary tract infection, in the arms of her “mommy,” Tabatha Bundesen, on Tuesday, her family said on Friday.

“Besides being our baby and a cherished member of the family, Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world — even when times were tough,” according to the family’s post.

Grumpy Cat first rose to prominence six years ago, after her owner posted a photo to Reddit, captioned “Meet grumpy cat.” Since then, many have memorialized the sourpuss Tardar Sauce in ink.
