Welcome to ‘Jurassic Park’ with These Dino-mite Tattoos

These tattoos... uh... find a way

“Jurassic Park” is easily one of my favorite movies. Not only does it feature cool dinosaurs and amazing thrills, but mix in Laura Dern, Newman from “Seinfield,” and Jeff Goldblum wearing all black laying on the back of a Jeep with an open shirt… swoon. Honestly, what more could a girl ask for?

Based on the 1990 novel by Michael Crichton, “Jurassic Park” examines the ethics of bringing dinosaurs back to life, and what happens when this technology is used to exploit these creatures for monetary gain by making them theme park attractions. Not to spoil anything, but nothing good happens.

In 1993, legendary filmmaker Steven Speilberg brought the world of “Jurassic Park” to life with his groundbreaking summer blockbuster that changed the summer movie experience for the better. Best known for its visual effects, the film has prevented dating itself too much despite coming out in the early 1990s through its careful mix of CGI and practical effects, including the impressive use of life-size dinosaur animatronics to bring the prehistoric creatures to the big screen. The film also revolutionized digital surround sound and was the first film to be shown in DTS.

The film’s success would lead to one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time, making over $5 billion at the box office. The franchise has expanded beyond the films and the books to include video games, lego sets, action figures, an animated series, and, of course, theme park rides and attractions. With another film, “Jurassic World: Dominion,” set for release in summer 2022, it’s safe to say “Jurassic Park” is here to stay.

To celebrate nearly 30 years of this amazing series we found some of the best “Jurassic Park” tattoos that’ll remind you of a time when dinosaurs ruled the earth.
