Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson Got Matching Tattoos
What do you think of this couple's new tattoos?
Miley Cyrus had an extremely eventful 2019. She began her year married to her longtime on again, off again love, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. However, after less than a year of marriage, the pair called it quits in August 2019 with Hemsworth filing for divorce a week later due to irreconcilable differences. In December 2019, their divorce was finalized and Cyrus shared the news with the word “Freedom” tattooed on the top of her hand.
But, 2019 wasn’t all heartbreak for Cyrus. After splitting from Hemsworth, Cyrus took some time to find herself, traveling to Europe and getting a few new tattoos along the way. However, it didn’t take long for Cyrus to find a new flame. After years of being friends, Cyrus and Australian singer Cody Simpson began dating.
Since they started dating, Cyrus and Simpson have not only showcased their love for each other on Instagram but through getting tattooed together. The pair have visited some of Los Angeles’ finest tattooers, including Daniel Winter and Nico Bassill. But, each time the pair has gotten their own pieces. That was until Bassill revealed a matching set of tattoos on the couple.
Cyrus and Simpson each got trident tattoos, which are likely a nod to Simpson’s upcoming poetry book “Prince Neptune.” Bassill even captioned the photo of their tattoos with,”‘Some mornings it’s like the sun rises only for her’ Prince Neptune.”
