Meet the tatted up mama who won this major modeling competition

Beauty pageants aren’t always about fake tans and big hair, sometimes they’re catered toward the tattooed crowd. Miss Alternative Model is an annual contest in the United Kindom and this year’s winner is 36-year-old Shelby Toms.

Toms is a tattoo artist, model and mother from North Tyneside with over 100 tattoos on her body. She began getting tattooed at 17-year-old and four years ago, opened her own tattoo shop. The prize of this contest is a contract with Rogue Model Management, as well as a photoshoot with Maxim UK cover model Dani Divine.
