106-Year-Old Spends Birthday At Taco Bell
A woman from Arizona spent her surprise birthday party at her own personal heaven. Taco Bell.
Myrtis Jewel Painter celebrated her 106th birthday at a Taco Bell in Phoenix, where she has been a regular customer for eight years. She was treated to the surprise party with family and friends.
Painter was born in east Texas in 1912, but has lived in Phoenix since 1932.
Taco Bell employees decorated the restaurant with balloons, streamers, and a cake, to honor the regular.
Gleg Gladden, who owns the Taco Bell franchise, said he wanted to celebrate Painter, who had been going to the Phoenix location since she was 97.
“At 106? And they want to come to Taco Bell? And hang out with me?” Gladden said. “It’s just amazing.”
Painter’s birthday meal was a taco and an enchilada.
“I think Taco Bell is a good place to come to, I really do,” Painter said.
This lovely woman isn’t the only fast food regular to receive benefits from their favorite chains.
A man in Florida, Stephen Bellissimo, celebrated his 100th birthday at his local Chick-fil-a eatery in September, where he has been a regular at the location for 20 years. He was awarded free food for the rest of his life by restaurant officials. Bellissimo said he plans to visit the Chick-fil-a every day to take advantage of his free meals.
