Meet the Tattoo Artist with Two Hot Boyfriends

While many couples have healthy and happy monogamous relationships, not everyone is content committing themselves to one person. Polyamory has existed since the beginning of human existence, however, only in recent years has it become an accepted lifestyle in Western society. Many celebrities have gone public as polyamorous, including Bella Thorne, who was in a relationship with both musician Mod Sun and YouTuber Tana Mongeau for several years. Yet, it’s important to recognize that there are many different types of poly relationships. For some, they have separate relationships that they openly communicate with their different partners. Whereas, for others, they participate in group relationships, such as a throuple. Throuples are three people who have an equal emotional, romantic, and sexual relationship between them. And for this trio in South Africa, they’ve found that happiness comes in threes.

Ali Jones is a 29-year-old tattoo artist from Cape Town, South Africa. In 2013, she married a man named Damian Grundy, however, their marriage soon fell apart. Then, Jones went on to date a man named Matty Ruchton after her divorce in 2017, but stayed friends with her ex-husband. Yet, Jones quickly began to feel torn between Grundy and Ruchton, later calling off her relationship.

But it wasn’t until the trio had a threesome that they began to explore the possibility of being a throuple. Both Grundy and Ruchton had become close friends, bonding over shared interests and a mutual ex. Now in 2019, they live together as a throuple and according to Ali, “We all just balance each other out really well. We all add such different things to each other’s lives, so what I get from Damian I may not get from Matty and vice versa.”

In addition to going public about their less than ordinary relationship, the trio even has matching tattoos that symbolize their mutual love for each other.
