Let’s talk about this. Sometimes I feel terribly insecure when I post some of my work. The tattoo in real life looks great, I’m super happy about it and then comes that terrible moment of finding the picture perfect angle and lighting. I have zero photoshop skills and only slightly desaturate my pictures in order to diminish the redness, but as soon as I get on Instagram and see all those beyond perfect colors, lines and tattoos, I feel like I’m absolute garbage. I have to remind myself daily not to compare myself to photoshop-wizards. I know most of them are great artists and that the tattoos are solid, but it bothers me because it sells an entire different product from reality. How do you feel about this? Is it part of marketing, or do some take it too far?
