Most of the time we like to think that art and math are completely different fields with very little overlap. How then does one explain the beauty found in Fibonacci spirals? By mapping out the Fibonacci sequence (a series of numbers where in each subsequent number is obtained by adding the two previous numbers) with a curved arc connecting the corners you end up with a Golden spiral. The design comes up shockingly often in nature (think of a nautilus for example) and it also looks completely stunning as a tattoo. Thus, the worlds of art and math collide in the form of these amazing Fibonacci Spiral Tattoos.
