It’s a well known fact that getting a tattoo on the top of your foot is going to hurt, but day in and day out we constantly see some amazing foot tattoos coming out of the tattoo industry. Jacob Doney, a California based tattoo artist and owner of Envision Tattoo, takes on the challenge of tattooing a foot with classic traditional imagery in this latest episode of Tattoo Timelapse. Sullen TV takes the viewer on an inside look as Doney creates a nautical scene using only five colors: black, red, yellow, green and blue. American traditional tattooing is very minimal compared to styles like realism and New School, yet it is one of the most classic styles. Since it requires an exceptionally trained hand when working with line work and solid colors, every mistake is noticeable. Lucky for this client, however, he has a skilled professional taking on the challenge of bringing a solid traditional piece to life on a very painful area of the body. Check out this video to see up close outlining, shading, and color blocking that leads to this phenomenal American traditional tattoo.
