Buy Some Sausage and Beer, Get a Free Tattoo

Some may see the phrase “Keep Austin Weird” as just a motto for the Texas capital city that’s also known as the “live music capital of the world.” But those who inhabit the central-Texas city see it as a challenge. The folks at Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden are doing their part by offering a free tattoo with purchase of sausage and beer. The offer isn’t as crazy as it sounds.

Banger’s is famous for their handcrafted sausage and sells an average of 2,000 pounds of it every week. In its short three-year existence, the restaurant/beer garden has combined that famous sausage with more than 100 beers and one of the biggest beer tap walls in Austin—making the Austin staple so popular that nearly 700 customers have gotten the institution’s beer-boot logo tattooed on them.

As a way to give something back to their loyal clientele, Banger’s has teamed up with Austin A-List’s 2013 & 2014 Best Tattoo and Piercing Shop, Platinum Ink, to offer a free tattoo with purchase of sausage and beer. Just stop by Banger’s, eat some sausage, drink some beer, hold on to your receipt, show it to the folks at Platinum Ink, and get a sweet tattoo of a cowboy boot that looks like a beer mug. Sounds easy enough.
