Check Out This Year’s Canadian Convention
On October 13th through 15th of this year, artists from around the world attended the Calgary Tattoo and Arts Festival. From Ink Master alums such as Jime Litwalk, Big Ceeze, Sarah Miller, Joey Hamilton, and Anthony Michaels to industry heavy hitters like Mat Hurtado and BJ Betts—tattooers across the board busted out their machines to tattoo at the convention. In fact, this year’s show boasted over 450 Canadian and international tattoo artists in their 120,000 square foot convention hall. But we cannot forget entertainment and other special acts. This convented hosted a number of burlesque performers and a special appearance from international tattoo model Monami Frost. This convention was a truly astounding display of art and ink, however, you don’t need to wait until next October to get in on the action.
The 2018 Edmonton Tattoo and Arts Festival is now open for registration. Partake in this epic weekend of tattooing on April 27th through the 29th and get equipped for another amazing event. In the meantime, take a look at some of the highlights from the Calgary show in the gallery below.
