8 Celebrities Who Got Their First Tattoos in 2018
These Tattoo Virgins Got INKED in 2018
While many of today’s top celebrities are covered in ink from head to toe, each one of them had to start somewhere. Getting your first tattoo is an important and nerve wracking right of passage for anyone—yes, even the rich and famous. And while we regularly discuss stars like Post Malone, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, who have obvious collections of tattoos, it’s time to discuss the newly converted ink collectors from 2018. Each and every one of these stars got their very first tattoo in 2018, let’s take a look at how they chose to break into tattoo collecting in the gallery below.
Ryland Adams
Ryland Adams is a popular YouTuber who is best known for being a former digital reporter on ClevverNews and dating fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson. This year, Adams got his very first tattoo by none other than Romeo Lacoste. For his first tattoo, Adams opted for something small and hidden, getting a covert message on the inside of his bottom lip.
Emilia Clarke
Another celebrity to get their first tattoo in 2018 was actress Emilia Clarke, who went to artist Dr. Woo to get a small design inspired by her character in the HBO show Game of Thrones.
Safiya Nygaard
Another celebrity to get tattooed in 2018 was YouTuber and former Buzzfeed staff member Safiya Nygaard, who let her subscribers pick her design! She sought the skills of Kimmy Tan, who is also a creator on YouTuber.
James Charles
One of the biggest makeup stars on YouTube also sought out Romeo Lacoste for an inner lip tattoo, however, it’s no surprise what word James Charles chose for his first tattoo. Charles opted for his signature catchphrase, which happens to be the name of his fans, for his first tattoo.
Kaia Gerber
Model and daughter of Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber got her first tattoo at the age of 17 this year. She went to NYC’s JonBoy for her first tattoo, which reads “Jordan,” her middle name in delicate script.
Ninja
Known for being one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, Ninja had to get a tattoo to commemorate his success in the gaming world. That’s why he got a tattoo inspired by the game Fortnite inked by Romeo Lacoste.
Busy Phillips
Actress Busy Phillips got her first tattoo this year, at the age of 39. Phillips went to artist Jim Down to get the quote “aced out in her nudes,” which the star said can be explained in her new memoir.
Dwayne Wade
Last, but not least, professional NBA player Dwayne Wade got his first tattoo after the birth of his fourth child, inking her name across his shoulder blades. Wayne stated on Instagram that he got the tattoo while visiting China.
