No matter if you’re aiming for stripes or solids, Jewels is here to help you take your best shot.
What’s the story behind your first tattoo?
My first tattoo was actually a little tiny heart on my ankle. When I was in the 10th grade, I was dating a boy who was 19. He had an “at home” tattoo kit and after half a Bud Light I told him to tattoo a heart on my ankle.
What’s your most meaningful tattoo?
I have a small tattoo on the top of my collar bone that says “Remember why you started.” My best friend Alie and I got these done together. We both went through some life-altering stuff early in 2020 and had both really struggled. We both liked that those words held a lot of meaning and we decided to go together to get it as a reminder of our past, but also how far we’ve come.

Which tattoo on your body gets the most compliments?
My leg sleeve receives the most compliments, hands down. My artist @tattoosbylee is the absolute best. We went with “The Jungle Book” theme and between the tiger, the orangutan and the snake, he absolutely killed it!
Which tattoo took the longest to complete?
The snake on my inner thigh was probably my longest sit.

Which tattoo was the most painful?
Ironically, the snake on my inner thigh. I wasn’t aware of numbing cream at this time.
What tattoo advice would you like to give our readers?
Numbing cream. Lots and lots of numbing cream.
