Grimes Shocks Social Media with Huge, Strange Tattoo

What do you think of Grimes' back piece?

While most singers opt for simple, “Pinterest-y” tattoos, Grimes does the complete opposite. She’s a wild card through and through, from her music to her lifestyle to her tattoo choices. Over the years, Grimes has collected a number of interesting tattoos. Her collection includes several pieces on her hands, a large blackwork piece on her calf and a handful of stick-and-poke numbers. However, her latest piece may be her most bizarre one yet.

Last night on Instagram, Grimes showed off her brand new tattoo to her 1.8 million followers. The tattoo covers her entire back and is an abstract pattern entirely done in white ink. “Full back in white ink by @tweakt w sum help from the alien computer brain of @nusi_quero,” Grimes shared alongside the photo on Instagram. “Don’t have a good pic cuz it hurts too much and I need to sleep haha, and it’ll be red for a few wks , but gna be beautiful alien scars.”

Many of Grimes’ fellow musicians commented on the fresh tattoo, with Ashnikko writing “!!!!!!! omg” and Princess Nokia writing “Sickkkkkk.”

What do you think of Grimes’ new tattoo? Would you get a tattoo in white ink? Let us know your thoughts on this story in the comments section on social media.
