25 Festive Thanksgiving Tattoos
These tattoos look good enough to eat!
While the truth behind The First Thanksgiving is pretty murky and very unlike the stories we heard in elementary school, many of us continue to observe the holiday as a time to spend with family and friends. And no matter where in the United States you celebrate, there are many universal traditions.
First and foremost, every year million of Americans watch the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.” During this parade, which begins at 9am est, we observe the decorate floats and balloons of various companies, franchises and popular characters. Then, there’s “The National Dog Show,” in which dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds compete for the Best in Show grand prize. If you’re a football fan, Thanksgiving is your day as there are three games you can enjoy: the Houston Texas vs. the Detroit Lions at 12:30pm, the Washington Football Team vs. the Dallas Cowboys at 4:30pm and the Baltimore Ravens vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers at 8:20pm.
However, the best (in my humble opinion) part of Thanksgiving is the food. Thanksgiving food is based on the fruits, vegetables and poultry that is native to the Americas—notably turkey, pumpkin, potatoes and cranberries. Today, many families have their own family recipes that have been passed down for generations. Others, have opted for new traditions, such as a vegan or vegetarian menu. In honor of Thanksgiving 2020, take a look at 25 tattoos inspired by the holiday in the gallery below. Then let us know your favorite Thanksgiving dish in the comments section on social media.
