Tattooed Woman with Rare Genetic Condition Goes Viral on TikTok
Miranda Cooper's dancing has earned her 2.3 million followers on TikTok
TikTok is the hottest social media site of the moment, made popular by teens and tweens creating short videos akin to Vine. Many of the most popular videos on TikTok are short skits or pranks, however, many TikTokers gained their followings through lip synching and dancing to popular songs. One of these content creators is Miranda Cooper, a 20-year-old woman from the United States.
Cooper has 2.3 million followers and 47.6 million likes on TikTok, putting her in a top percentile of users on the site. She’s most recognized for her unconventional appearance, having been born with a genetic condition called Holt-Oram syndrome. This disorder affects the bones in the hands and arms, affecting 1 in 100,000 people. Holt-Oram is passed down genetically and Cooper’s mother, who has appeared on her page, also has the disorder.
Cooper enjoys dancing to many of the popular TikTok songs, including Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage,” Nicki Minaj’s “Starships” and “Buttons” by The Pussycat Dolls. She’s earned her following through her positive and optimistic spirit, always wearing a smile while performing on camera. She’s also collaborated with a number of other popular users on the site, including @codyorlove, @mackenziesol and @almighty.sky.
