At first glance the “La Mort de Coeur” Necklace by Alchemy of England, today’s InkedShop Product of the Day, looks like a standard heart shaped necklace. But don’t be fooled—take a closer look and you will see that Alchemy of England has created a one-of-a-kind work of art with this necklace. Embedded in the side of the heart is a skeletal face that gives the piece a bit of gravity. After all, the necklace’s name is French for “the death of the heart.” The necklace is not only striking, but it makes you think. That’s pretty impressive.
The “La Mort de Coeur” Necklace by Alchemy of England is set with Swarovski crystals along the side opposite from the skull. It is one of many fantastic pieces of jewelry created by Alchemy of England available at INKEDSHOP.COM. The company was started back in 1977 by Geoff Kayson and Trevor Phillipson in Manchester, England. It should come as no surprise that much of the jewelry created by a company founded in the year that punk rock broke has a similar aesthetic. Over the years Alchemy of England has kept the same ethos that they were founded upon; everything is handcrafted and sold through independent “Mom and Pop” resellers.
You can pick up many of Alchemy of England’s designs here. Some of our favorites, in addition to the “La Mort de Coeur” necklace of course, include the “Amon Ra” Necklace, the “Tattoo Machine” Bracelet, and the “Love/Hate” Ring.
So head on over to INKEDSHOP.COM right now! Pick up the “La Mort de Coeur” Necklace and many other fine offerings from Alchemy of England.
