GALLERY OF BANG BANG’S WORK ON DELEVINGNE BELOW THE TEXT

When celebrities walk down the red carpet at high-profile events like the Met Gala that everyone is reading and writing about today, the question they’re most asked is “Who are you wearing?” Fashion designers’ names are thrown around and repeated, but tattoo artists’ names aren’t. Thanks to supermodel Cara Delevingne at last night’s Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, tattoo artist Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy is a name that’s bouncing around the high fashion world today.

Delevingne showed up to the event with temporary tattoos covering her arms, chest and neck. The birds, blossoms and vines were painted on her by Bang Bang and were inspired by the event’s theme—“China: Through the Looking Glass.”

Over the past 10 years, Bang Bang has become a go-to tattoo artist for celebrities including Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Rita Ora and Adele. He has even tattooed Delevingne more than a dozen times, including a lion’s head on her index finger and the word ‘Bacon’ written on the bottom of her foot.

Flip through the gallery below to see Bang Bang’s Met Gala work on Delevingne.
