Cave Creek Sets the Pace for Bike Week’s Opening Stretch
The first weekend of Bike Week in Cave Creek is in the books, and the tone is already set.
From the jump, the town filled in fast. Bikes lined the roads, music carried from every direction, and the crowd settled into that familiar mix of riders who’ve been coming for years and people experiencing it for the first time.
At the center of it all was Cave Creek Roadhouse, where things stayed busy from day into night. The weekend brought packed crowds, steady live music, and a constant flow of people moving through.
Sunday contests drew attention early, while riders came and went throughout the day on their own terms. There’s no strict structure to follow out here, which is part of the draw. You can stay put and take it in or head out and find your own route.
Vendors kept things stacked with gear and unique pieces, and the builders open house gave people a closer look at the work behind the bikes filling the streets. Nothing about it felt staged. It’s just how Cave Creek does it.
Inked stayed right in the mix all weekend, with merch moving steady as people looked to take a piece of it with them.
And with several days still ahead, it’s clear this was just the start.
